Violence and Voting the US: School Shootings Increase the Vote Share of the Democratic Party
Lacombe M, Garcia L, Arjona A - This paper examines how school shootings impact the relative vote share of the Republican and Democratic parties in counties that experience them. We find that Republicans suffer a substantial loss of support in counties that experience shootings in the elections following those shootings.

Study examining federal firearms licensee (FFL) inspection practices, finding that the likelihood of inspection and subsequent violations is influenced by socioeconomic and demographic factors as well as state firearm law permissiveness.
